Preparations begin for 2015 Norco Primex
PREPARATIONS for the agricultural show Norco Primex in Casino later this week are well under way and will feature a diverse range of up to 300 exhibitors.
The event is in its 31st year and organisers are expecting it to be as popular as ever, according to Kate Nugent who leads the new management from Fairfax Rural events.
The next three days are the official set-up but people have been arriving on-site over the weekend she said.
Tents and other structures as well as cattle yards have been made ready she said.
There was palpable excitement in the air as the management team got ready for one of Australia's premier agricultural shows, she said.
A recent Fair Trade agreement with China will be on the agenda as it provides new opportunities for beef and diary farmers across the region, she said.
Primex will feature hundreds of exhibitors as well as plenty of information for growers and breeders she said.
For the first time there is a mobile phone app to help people research vendors and navigate the venue, she said.
Norco Primex opens to the public on Thursday June 18.
