Get training for Ocean Swim

GET your Speedos on and dust off your goggles - the Evans Head Ocean Swim is coming up and you need to be training.

Olympian Melissa Gorman and national 5km-10km open water champion Jack Burnham will both be back for this year's ocean swim to defend their open 2km swim wins in the past two years.

Coupled with the "star power" attraction of the one-and-only Jacqueline Freney, organisers are hoping to attract a larger crowd this year.

The weather has not been in the swimmers' favour the past two years, but organiser Ray Adams is hoping that it's third time lucky this year.

When: June 8-9, 2013 including Dash for Cash on the Saturday.

Where: June 8 - Evans Head Aquatic Centre. June 9 - Main Beach, Evans Head.
