Get ready to scream all night

VAYER, Dead Letter Opener, Courting Pandora and IRE.

If you like heavy metal bands then these four bands will make you scream your head off.

Each band will be headlining the Heavy Metal Night at CBD Hotel McGuires tonight.

Along with the Heavy Metal Night tonight, the hotel will host a Green Day tribute band on Saturday night, along with Townsville band No Hype.

One of the headline bands for tonight's gig will be Vayer.

Originally from Townsville, Vayer's move to Brisbane in early 2009 has seen them play numerous venues across Queensland, with a number of bands including Dead Letter Circus, The Amity Affliction, Closure in Moscow, The Kidney Thieves and Dead Letter Opener to name a few.

Backed by hardworking ethics and a determined, no-nonsense attitude, the talented three-piece is well known for captivating crowds with passionate, seamless performances.

The band's debut five-track EP was recorded in March 2010, with the help of Intercooler and Screamfeeder guitarist Darek Mudge, who recorded Disco Nap's 2009 Triple J unearthed winning single The Soft Sell and their subsequent debut album.

The recording showcases the band's seemingly innate ability to blend intricate progressive rock patterns and textures along with heavy euphoric grooves, into a rich tapestry of sound and feeling.

Since the release of the EP, the band has received many positive reviews, not only from its following but from local and national media, including Rave, Time Off and Blunt magazines ,along with airplay on 4ZZZ and Triple J.

Backed by hardworking ethics and a determined, no-nonsense attitude, the talented three-piece is well known for captivating crowds with passionate, seamless performances.
