FALLON Hudson speaks with comedian Ross Noble about his upcoming show Nonsensory Overload; what lives in his fridge and why he loves Australia.

Now, you have been to Mackay before: tell me a little about your last trip?

Oh yes, I have been to Mackay and spent time in Mackay. In fact I have even been to the Mackay show.

It was very interesting. I watched a group of men building a small railway line.

It was a competition to see who could put the rail road in first.

What was the last book you read?

The last book I read... ummm oh blimey.

It has been a while since I read a book, let me see.

I really don't tend to read fiction, I read books about events and people.

I read a very good book called Psychopath Test by Jon Ronson, it is all about psychopaths - I love biographies, as well.

What is your favourite movie?

I don't have one. It is almost like trying to choose your favourite child, isn't it? I don't have one that is above all others.

What would I find if I opened your fridge?

Right now, you would find the contents of the mini bar. You would find small drinks and chocolate bars.

At home, you would find quite a lot of yogurt, ham and chicken.

I also have in my fridge as well... my daughter has got this thing: whenever she bangs her head on anything, we have these little pig ice pack things.

Where you cool them down and when they smash themselves you put that on their head.

And I keep forgetting and I think they are sweets and I go 'Oh what is that, oh it's that thing' - it is quite annoying.

If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpowers to be?

I have actually thought about this and I would have a sponge foot.

If there was spillage on the floor I would just (say) 'stand aside', and I would just mop it up with my sponge foot.

If aliens landed in front of you and in exchange for anything you desire, offered you anything you desired what would it be?

It would have to be unlimited buffet.

On a scale of 1 to 10 how happy are you at the moment?

At the moment, I would say I was an 8. I am very happy but my wife and daughter are back in the UK, so I would be 10 if they were here.

Life is good today and I am fairly happy, but if the family were with me you could notch that up to 10.

How would you describe yourself in three words?

Humorous, demonic, scarecrow.

Is there new material in your latest show?

I kinda of have a few ideas and then take them on stage. I do stuff with the audience and the things that are in my head.

I don't sit down and write a show, the show just sort of happens and see where the ideas go. It never gets to the point that I have a show and that is what I do.

It is a fluid thing, it is following ideas - the show changes all the time.

You spend a fair bit of time in Australia, what draws you back to Australia?

I love the people, I love the culture and generally the mood, it is a really relaxing place to be.

My wife is an Aussie and my daughter was born here, so coming back to see the grandparents is high on the list.

If you won $20 million in the lotto what would you do with the money?

This is tricky, tricky.

I have everything I want now, I don't need anything material-wise, I've pretty much got what I need. I would like to buy a quarry.
