Game of golf raises funds for fire brigade

THE 16th Woodenbong Rural Fire Brigade annual golf fun day is on Sunday, November 1 at the Woodenbong Golf Club.

This fundraiser event is always popular and everyone is assured of a good day as it includes the three-person ambrose golf tournament, which kicks off at 9.30am.

Come and have a bash, and why not buy a Melbourne Cup horse in the Calcutta - hysterically and boisterously auctioned by Paul McKey, where the bidding becomes quite frantic.

And you might as well buy tickets in the monster raffle which include myriad donated prizes on offer.

The barbecue begins at 11am and all the club facilities are available.

Funds raised from the event are used for the Woodenbong Rural Fire Brigade's needs for equipment that is not normally funded by the Rural Fire Service.

Thanks to the many sponsors who support this event, and the visitors it attracts, this important service remains viable.
