Fun the name of the school game

THE sun beamed over Lismore High's swimming carnival on Tuesday, with as much happening in the pool as on the sidelines.

Awesome Aspinall advocate Lucy Klaus, 15, said that it was one of the better carnivals she'd attended.

"And that's because I know that Aspinall will be winning house, again," she said.

"We do have quite a team; the others are aware of how good we are and should be worried.

"I love the rivalry between the houses, the fun and games, and the competition in the pool is great.

"The dress-ups are pretty colourful. Not everyone stuck to the theme but that's OK. Tim (surname withheld) looked brilliant in his long yellow socks, yellow shorts and singlet, and his yellow wig."

At the end of the day, due to its weight of participant number, Aspinall (684) did win from Harvey (583), Richmond (516), and Oakes (442).
