From health scare to top physical form makes Kate chuff

YEPPOON personal trainer Kate Cowan is feeling pretty chuffed with herself after making her debut in her first bodybuilding contest, the INBA Queensland Bodybuilding Association competition, at Brisbane.

On the back of four months of solid preparation, Kate entered International Figure, Novice Physique and Open Physique at the two-day event over the weekend.

After recovering from having a benign brain tumour removed that was affecting her hormone balance, Kate started setting fitness goals - last year she ran the Sunshine Coast half marathon, and this year, it was to enter a bodybuilding contest.

While Kate did not place, she said she had achieved a goal and felt very happy with herself.

Her colleague at Yeppoon Health and Fitness Terry Delalande also took to the stage contesting the Male Fitness division, but did not place.
