French connections take over Byron

OOH LA LA! All things French will be celebrated at Byron Bay tomorrow night.

Restaurant The Petit Snail, movie house Dendy Byron Bay and the Australian Decorative and Fine Arts Society (ADFAS) will join forces to present a French happy hour and movie night.

The evening starts at 5pm with drinks and a light meal at The Petit Snail, 5 Carlyle St.

Then it's across Jonson St to the Dendy Cinema for the 2012 Academy Award winning film, The Artist at 6.30pm.

Chef Igor will be offering a special menu of French-style prawns, onion soup or a selection of divine pates and terrines, along with the restaurant's organic sourdough baguette.

The Artist not only won the Oscar for Best Picture, it was also awarded Best Director, Best Actor, Best Original Music and Best Costume Design as well as the Golden Globe award for Best Comedy or Musical and Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical.

All-inclusive tickets are $35 or $30 for ADFAS and Club Dendy members, and are available now at Dendy Byron Bay Cinemas box office, phone bookings 6680 8555.

There is limited seating for this event, and as the last French happy hour movie night for Midnight in Paris sold out, it's recommended to get your tickets early.
