Free movie screening at Ballina Fair Cinema tonight

THERE will be a free screening of the movie Broke tonight at Ballina Fair Cinema.

The movie lines up with Responsible Gambling Awareness Week, which started today and continues until Friday.

Rugby League legend Mark Graham described the movie as "a moving and inspired tale about the destructive nature of addiction, the universal need for mateship and compassion, and ultimately, the healing power of forgiveness and second chances".

The movie is a sports drama directed by Heath Davis.

It follows a man's struggle with gambling addiction. He hits rock bottom and is determined to win back his self-respect and the respect of his family, friends and community.

Reserve a seat by emailing Northern Rivers Gambling Counselling Service at nrgcs@buttery.org.au or by calling 6687 2520.

Refreshments from 6.30pm, the screening from 7pm and guest speakers from 8.45pm.
