Four charged over drug supply

FOUR people have been arrested and charged with the offence of conspiring to supply a commerical quantity of prohibited drug.

Last Friday, Richmond Local Area Command detectives arrested and charged a 23-year-old Ballina woman and a 49-year-old Alstonville woman at Ballina Police Station. They have been bailed to appear at Ballina Local Court on October 14.

On Tuesday, police arrested and charged a 48-year-old man in Kyogle. He was bail refused and appeared in the Lismore Local Court later that day where he was released on bail to appear in Lismore Local Court on November 16.

On Wednesday, a 48-year-old Lismore man was arrested and charged. He was bail refused and was due to appear in Lismore Local Court today.

The matter relates to an on-going investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs, codenamed Operation Redmahogany, in the Lismore area.

Further arrests are planned in the coming weeks.
