Lions to hold a Save Our Fountain rally this weekend

LISMORE City Lions Club is holding a Save Our Fountain rally with a free barbecue on Sunday from 10am to 12.30pm.

The rally is in support of the restoration of the Lismore Lions Fountain, which has been the topic of recent discussion as Lismore City Council works towards a decision on whether to save or remove the historic fountain.

The fountain, which lives outside Lismore City Hall, was presented to the City of Lismore in 1967 in recognition of the city being the birthplace of Australia's first ever Lions Club in 1947.
