Foundation, aka skin protection: Hard to fault product
FOUNDATION is a beauty product many women wear on a daily basis.
If you're one of those women who never needs to wear it because your skin is naturally flawless, I envy you.
I've tried many foundations, from high-end products to chemist brands. You name it, I've likely given it a go.
I was sent a bottle of the new Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 to review and over a two-week period I became well acquainted with the new product.
I was really impressed with it from the get-go and one of the main reasons why is because the foundation is just under $20.
Although packaging isn't fancy, it comes in a pump bottle, which is a great asset that helps avoid turning your bathroom benches skin-coloured.
Covergirl's new foundation is great if you're looking for good coverage that also helps to protect your skin, as it is SPF 20+.
Anyone who wants to avoid looking like a leather handbag when they're older should be wearing face products containing sunscreen.
This 3-in-1 formula has that covered for you, which is a good thing because there's no excuse, in 2013, not to be aware of how bad the sun can be for your skin.
The foundation also had concealer in its formula.
For me, someone who likes to hide their freckles, uneven skin tone and red spots, this was excellent.
It was almost full coverage and lasted a considerable time.
Covergirl does claim the foundation is also a primer, but I still used one underneath by force of habit.
All in all, the foundation was matte, good coverage and with a $20 price tag, hard to fault.
By the end of the day it was clear the foundation was wearing off, but it wasn't a foundation where you get home after a full work day and wonder where all the make-up you put on in the morning went to.
