Test players hosts at festival

FORMER Australian wicketkeeper Steve Rixon and ex-Australian fast bowler Len Pascoe will be guest hosts in the corporate arena at next week's Tommys Festival of Cricket.

Rixon played in 13 tests and six one-day internationals between 1977 and 1985. Since retiring he has been coach of the New Zealand cricket team, New South Wales, Surrey, and currently The Scots College in Sydney.

He is currently coaching the Hyderabad Heroes of the Indian Cricket League.

Pascoe, a fast bowler with little subtlety and heaps of aggression, regularly topped a speed of 145km/h, taking 41 wickets at 21.78 on the 1977 tour of England, including 13 in three tests.

These are two more big names in the extensive line-up of stars attending the event, making for a speculator September of sport in Lismore.

Tommys Festival of Cricket organisers have just released a series of exciting corporate packages now on offer to local businesses.

The Corporate Golf Day will be held on Monday, September 28, where the Victorian and New South Wales teams will engage with the Lismore region's business community.

Each team will be headed by one of cricket's best, in an 18-hole 'gunshot' start, Ambrose event. .

The three packages on offer are:

Bronze Package valued at $1000, including 10 tickets to outer ground, four tickets to corporate area and a four-man team on Corporate Golf Day.

Silver Package valued at $1250, including 20 tickets to outer ground, three tickets to corporate area for two games and a four-man team on Corporate Golf Day.

Gold Package valued at $1500, including 20 tickets to outer ground, three tickets to corporate area for three games and a four-man team on Corporate Golf Day.

Events such as these do not come to Lismore often so don't miss your chance to capitalise on it.
