World Cup construction worker falls to his death

A CONSTRUCTION worker has fallen 36m to his death at the Arena Amazonia, a stadium being built in the jungle city of Manaus to host games in next year's World Cup in Brazil.

It was the second death at the facility where England and Italy are scheduled to clash on June 14.

Two workers were killed last month when a crane collapsed at a stadium being built in Sao Paulo to host the opening game on June 12.

Last year, a worker died at the construction site of the stadium in Brasilia.
