Foot chase to catch drunk man trespassing at primary school
TWO Casino Police Officers can be excused from attending the gym today after having quite the cardio workout at Mummulgum.
Police from Richmond Local Area Command allege that at 5:10pm on Thursday police attended Mummulgum Public School in relation to a report of an intoxicated male trespassing, senior constable David Henderson said.
Police allegedly saw a 37-year-old Skinners Shoot man surrounded by smashed beer bottles.
He was placed under arrest, however, he then jumped the fence at the school and ran from police through the school grounds.
Whilst climbing a second fence into a private property the man fell over and was detained by police.
He then started using highly offensive language directed at police and members of the public.
The man ran off from police again and was caught after another chase.
The man had to be dragged a long distance to the police truck and carried over two fences.
He also refused to enter the cage on the police truck and when he was eventually placed in the cage he kicked out a perspex viewing window.
The man had to be dragged kicking and screaming to the cells at Casino police station.
He was charged with offensive behaviour, resist police and malicious mamage.
