AWAY from the dagwood dogs and fairy floss is a foodies paradise at this year's North Coast National.

The Local Life pavillion at the Lismore Showgrounds is hosting a series of cooking demonstrations that will teach visitors how to make everything from ice-cream to kebabs.

Yesterday we caught up with Deb Allard from Cheeses Loves You as she showed how you can make your own yoghurt at home - and it turns out it's easy!

For the final day of the show, demonstrations include:

11am: Making a French omelette with Mayfields restaurant at Dunoon

12 Noon: Making a meal with the gurus from Wollongbar Tafe's Nightcap Restaurant

1pm: Making raw chocolate

2pm: A demonstration from the team at Lismore's The Loft Restaurant

4pm: A demonstration by Simon Pagotto of Trattoria Pagotto at Lismore

5pm: A demonstration by Lennox Head Masterchef finalist Jules Allen

6pm: A demonstration by the team at Lilianas Cafe at Possum Creek

7pm: Another demonstration by Jules Allen
