Food, music, dance for youth
WHO said there was nothing to do in Kyogle?
Next Friday, April 20, the town will come alive with a colourful and vibrant youth celebration.
Artists, dancers and musicians will be on hand for the Day In the Park event, at Kyogle Memorial Park on Friday, as part of Youth Week.
Kyogle Youth Action is hosting the event.
It will feature performances by young hip-hop dancers, afternoon beats by local DJ Damon, and arts workshops, face-painting and fun photo shoots.
Manager of Kyogle Youth Action, Margaret Hughes, said it wasn't just for Kyogle youths, but for youngsters from across the region.
"The Day in the Park will be a great way for young people to get together in a safe space, have fun, eat free food and celebrate Youth Week," she said.
Youth worker Muranda Goodsell said everyone was welcome.
"Young people in Kyogle often tell us that they'd like more things to do in town, but that they also would like to meet other young people," she said.
"The Day in the Park will be a great way for these two things to happen at once."
Food will be provided by local caterers Twisted Tucker, and youth workers from around the region will be on hand with helpful information.
