VILLAGES all around our readership area got into the spirit of NAIDOC this year, with some schools celebrating before the term finished.

Evans River K-12 Community school had games, made bracelets of red, black and yellow, and cooked damper.

The Kyogle community walked through the town on their annual Reconciliation March with a gathering at the Kyogle Memorial Hall.

In Casino there was a well-attended flag-raising ceremony and march down Walker St.

Coraki also had a flag-raising and there were some fun activities at Box Ridge.
