Five Richmond Valley projects get grants.

FIVE community projects across the Richmond Valley have been awarded funding under the NSW Government's Community Building Partnerships program.

Member for Clarence Chris Gulaptis said the program funds small infrastructure projects for local not-for-profit groups and local councils.

"We know this program delivers great value for the taxpayer because these volunteer groups spend every precious dollar wisely and donate their own time," he said.

"These projects not only strengthen community assets and deliver positive social and recreational outcomes, but stimulate the local economy and help secure local small business jobs."

Projects to receive funding in the Richmond Valley:

Casino Town Tennis Club received $35,000 for a new Barbecue area and undercover spectator seating.

Casino Neighbourhood Centre received $7867 towards the Casino Community Garden.

Woodburn- Evans Head Golf Club received $34,000 to complete stage one of its irrigation.

New Italy Museum will use $22,292 to upgrade the ceiling, walls, display areas and floors.

Casino Community Men's Shed will install solar power with its $12,000.
