First job: Turners, Lismore and Ballina bus company where I worked for 12 months.

What do you like about living on the Northern Rivers?: I have had a love affair with the Ballina Shire since 1948 and with Wardell since I met Errol (husband) in 1963. We moved here in 1970.

What would you do if you won $10 million?: I'd make sure our two sons were set for life and then give the rest to my favourite charities.

Which three people in history would you invite to a dinner party?: My mum, her sister Sally and my granny.

What cheeses you off: Pessimism, negativity and people with no foresight.
