Fire extinguishers stolen from Alstonville schools

OVER the weekend two primary schools on Main Street, Alstonville had their fire extinguishers stolen.

At one school it was moved and used while at the other school it was taken away, police from Richmond Local Area Command said.

This causes a risk to the school when and if they have a real fire.

If anyone saw or heard anything suspicious on Main Street near these two schools, please contact your local police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

"Please, if you live near these schools, keep an eye out and call Ballina Police if you see anyone in the school grounds out of hours," police said on the Richmond LAC Facebook page.
