ORGANISERS of the second Red Tent Festival are expecting to smash last year's attendance record.

Festival organiser Annie Bryant said last year about 200 women walked through the doors of the one day celebration of womanhood, but this year she expects to see double the numbers.

The festival aims to create a space for women to come together and share their experiences of being a woman through workshop, healing sessions and celebrations.

The festival will be held at the Mullumbimby Civic Hall on Saturday and starts at 9.30am.

Entry to the festival is $55 for the whole day, $35 for daytime entry and $25 for evening entry, a $5 concession is available off prices. However, entry is free for girls aged 12 to 18 years. You can buy tickets online here.

You can see the festival program here.

Babes in arms are welcome.
