Fatal accident at Bexhill 22nd February

I too was on the Bangalow/Lismore Road on Friday at around 2-00 pm and at the height of the storm. Most vehicles had adjusted their speed to the atrocious conditions but not so some of the semitrailer drivers. On two separate instances the oncoming semitrailers were over the double lines; add to this water gushing from the side of these trucks and for that few seconds my visibility was zero. I was shaken by the experience and saddened to read of the fatality later that evening. This road is totally unsuitable for large vehicles. Is there any reason why they cannot be made to use the Pacific Highway and the Alstonville by-pass to access Lismore and beyond. How many more people have to lose loved ones on this country road?
