Far North Coast players crowned “Masters” of hockey

FNC hockey players are celebrating after being crowned the New South Wales Masters Over-40s champions.

The team took this year's Division One competition at event, which featured sides from across the state, with a 1-0 nil over Parkes in this year's final.

After battling through tough group stages and a semi-final, Grant Smith's late goal gave the team victory in Sunday's showpiece contest.

FNC had earlier battled through a qualifying group and a semni-final against Illawarra to earn a place in the final.

The Bathurst event featured some of Australia's best players in the age group.
