Fallen officer to be farewelled in Sydney

A FULL police funeral will be held in Sydney on Wednesday to honour the fallen NSW officer killed in the line of duty last week.

Detective Inspector Bryson Anderson was fatally wounded while responding to a neighbourhood dispute near Windsor on Thursday.

The well respected officer, who leaves behind a wife and two children, will be farewelled at St Patrick's Cathedral in Parramatta from 2pm.

A funeral procession with marching escort will travel along Victoria Rd following the service.

NSW Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione has invited members of the public to pay their respects.

A mother and son have been charged with Insp Anderson's murder and are currently before the courts.
