Facebook tributes for motorcycle victim

TRIBUTES are already flowing for passionate motorcyclist Kane Braggins on the social networking site Facebook after he died in a collision with three other cars on Broken Head Road on Friday morning.

Jeff Barnes, owner of the Newrybar General Store, told The Northern Star the 22-year-old man was his first customer virtually every morning, coming in to buy some fruit and a loaf of bread before going to work on one of the local farms.

"He was a regular, nice-looking young kid," Mr Barnes said. Mr Barnes said Mr Braggins' mother, Leonie, was also well known in Newrybar as being a bit eccentric, often with a bird on her shoulder.

The accident occurred at 7.35am on Friday, about a kilometre south of Broken Head hall.

Police said Mr Braggins was driving in a northerly direction when he collided with three south-bound cars.
