Experience the Mayan crystal skull

ANNA MITCHELL-HEDGES was 17 when she discovered a human-shaped skull made from quartz crystal in Belize in Central America.

It was her birthday and she was accompanying her father on an archaeological dig when she found the crystal skull.

At least, that’s how one version of the story goes.

Another version says that Anna’s father, archaeologist E Albert Mitchell-Hedges, bought the crystal artefact at a Sotheby’s auction in 1943.

He was the successful bidder against the British Museum.

Ancient Mayan legend says there are 13 crystal skulls in existence and when all of them are revealed on Earth, mankind will ascend to a higher plane of consciousness.

One of the special guests at this year’s Starlight Wellbeing Expo is Dee Hearne, a healer and spiritual practitioner/teacher, who attended a lecture and slide show about the skull in England.

The skull was still in Anna Mitchell-Hedges’ possession and had a profound impact on Ms Hearne.

“I wasn’t all that interested in crystal skulls at the time,” Ms Hearne said.

“But after the talk we did a meditation, during which I felt an expansion of knowledge and raised energy fields all around me.”

Ms Hearne will be conducting a free two-hour workshop today between noon and 2pm for those interested in experiencing the effect of the skulls.

She will also be giving clairvoyant and tarot readings at the Starlight Expo.

The expo is held at the A&I Hall, Station Street, Bangalow from today until Sunday, open from 9.30am to 5.30pm each day.
