Lady Elliot from every angle

LADY Elliot is a true coral cay island located at the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef, just north of Fraser Island, making it the closest reef island to all southern capitals with daily flights from Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast).

The island is regarded as one of the best diving and snorkelling locations on the Great Barrier Reef and is famous for its unspoilt coral reef and amazing array of spectacular marine life.

Lady Elliot Island is a popular destination for families and leisure groups with a keen interest in exploring this rich marine eco-system.

The Lady Elliot Island Great Barrier Reef day trip is the only one of its type in Australia.

The visit allows you to view one of the most pristine sections of Australia's Great Barrier Reef from the air as well as from above and below the water all in one day.

The day begins with a scenic 40-minute flight from Hervey Bay at 8.10am with Seair, over Fraser Island directly to Lady Elliot Island.

Once on the island you can take a guided tour on one of our glass-bottom boats, snorkel among the most amazing coral formations and marine creatures, hand-feed fish in the lagoon or take a guided reef walk with one of our knowledgeable guides.

Come face to face with turtles, colourful coral and schools of reef fish.

The coral gardens surrounding the island are also a breeding and feeding area for the giant "kites of the reef" - manta rays.

Many of our past guests have been fortunate to swim with these amazing creatures.

Hosted by our trained guides throughout the day, you will experience the best the reef has to offer before enjoying a delicious buffet lunch.

Your return trip from Lady Elliot Island to Hervey Bay departs at 4pm.
