Expect delays at roadworks on the Bruxner Highway

ESSENTIAL repair work to strengthen the road is being done on the Bruxner Highway at Mallanganee.

Roads and Maritime Services has advised motorists that changed traffic conditions will remain in place from 7am to 6pm from Monday to Saturday until late August.

The work involves repairs to the road surface and the installation of reinforced concrete piles to improve the stability of the road.

There will be some noise associated with the work.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the work site for the safety of the workers and motorists.

This arrangement will continue to be in place 24 hours a day, seven days a week until the project is complete.

Speed restrictions will also remain in place.

Vehicles wider than 4m will be unable to use this section of the Bruxner Highway and will need to plan an alternative route.

Road users are asked to follow the direction of traffic controllers, keep to the reduced speed limits, and follow traffic signs and lights when displayed.

Motorists may experience delays of up to five minutes and should allow extra travel time for their journeys.
