Expect delays as council inspects timber bridges

BYRON Shire Council will be undertaking eight routine timber bridge inspections across the shire over the coming weeks.

Traffic delays can be expected at some sites.

Traffic delays of about 20 to 30 minutes can be expected between the hours of 8.30am to 4.30pm, affecting the single lane bridges of Booyong, James and Parker Bridges (all on Booyong Road) from October 20 to 22.

There will also be minor traffic delays for two lane bridges between 8.30am to 4.30pm, affecting Byron Creek Bridge (Coopers Shoot Road) and South Arm Bridge (Brunswick Heads) from October 26 to 28.
