Emerging Indigenous dancers needed

Dance Integrated Australia and The Farm are seeking expressions of Interest from emerging indigenous dancers in the early stages of their career for a residency opportunity at the third annual Corner Dance Lab.

The residency will be held from January 15 - 23, 2016, in the Northern Rivers.

Through support from Arts Northern Rivers, two emerging Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander dancers will receive one of two scholarships, valued at $1500, to attend the summer dance intensive in Federal.

The Corner Dance Lab engages renowned teachers that instruct daily routines, practice, ideas and experiments for an intensive program encompassing technique classes and improvisation to Yoga and choreographic practice.

This is an incredible professional development opportunity for early career dancers to be immersed in the 9-day dance lab.

The $1500 scholarship will contribute towards travel, accommodation, cover registration fees and provide the artist with mentoring and creative advice throughout the Lab.

The Corner Dance Lab attracts national and international artists from diverse backgrounds, different embodiment and life experiences who want to challenge themselves to work in an inclusive dance environment.
