Emergency services on their way to accident near Wardell

UPDATE 11am: THE people in a car that rolled into a cane field on the Pacific Highway two kilometres south of Wardell have escaped serious injury.

A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics assessed two patients at the scene with minor injuries.

The spokeswoman said neither patient required transporting to hospital.

Traffic was congested southbound on the highway until about 10:40am.

INITIAL: EMERGENCY services have been called to the Pacific Highway near Wardell after reports of that a car had rolled.

A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics were called at 9:55am following reports a car had rolled into a cane field about two kilometres south of Wardell.

Police and paramedics are on their way to the scene.

Reports from the scene indicate no people in the car were seriously injured.
