Easter egg hunt will be cracking good time in Coraki

With Easter just around the corner, the Coraki Events Committee has cooked up an "egg-sellent" idea for a family friendly event Saturday, March 19, the Mega Easter Fun Day.

"The people of the Northern Rivers love Easter, and what better way for families to celebrate that special time of year than with an egg hunt and kid's games on our beautiful riverfront" Markets Coordinator for the Coraki-based volunteer group, Louise Woolbank.

"The parkland will also include art and craft markets, so there'll be great shopping, food and music - and there'll be the Show n Shine to keep the family occupied too."

In 2015 the Coraki Events Committee organised monthly community markets and have changed their calendar this year to quarterly festivals to appeal to the wider Northern Rivers.

"The markets are still on, just every three months, which has been great for our unique art and craft stallholders who have told us they are excited to see the larger format event" Ms Woolbank said.

The program for the Mega Easter Fun Day has markets from 8am, 10am the gates open to the Easter hunting arena, followed by kid's games, circus performances, kid's art and craft and finally, the grand Easter Bonnet Parade at 11.45am.

Kids and adults who parade in their craftiest hat have a chance to win great prizes sponsored by local businesses.

For stallholder enquiries, contact Louise on 0401 602 324.

To keep up to date with the program and check out the prizes, follow the Coraki Markets page on Facebook or visit www.corakimarkets.com.
