$400 fine for being "full of p**s and bad manners"

A MAN who refused to leave a Lowood pub when asked by the publican and then police, was "full of p**s and bad manners."

Joshua Aaron Morcus, 22, pleaded guilty at the Ipswich Magistrates Court to failing to leave a licensed property when asked, and creating a disturbance.

The court heard Morcus had been drinking at the Club Hotel Lowood.

He became aggressive before the bar tender asked him to leave the hotel.

Morcus refused, and after several more attempts by the publican to get him to leave, the police were called. When the police arrived Morcus was told to leave, and tried to return to the hotel while police were watching. The court heard Morcus was repeatedly and loudly swearing at police and was arrested.

Magistrate Bevan Manthey asked Morcus if he was "full of p**s and bad manners" on the night.

"Yeah, pretty much," Morcus replied. He was sentenced to pay a $400 fine.
