Drugs, firearms and cash found in Northern Rivers raid

POLICE have discovered cannabis, firearms, MDMA and cash in a raid on the Northern Rivers.

On Wednesday morning Police from the Richmond Local Area Command executed a search warrant at a Roseberry Creek address.

During the warrant, police seized in excess of 50 kgs of Cannabis Leaf, 133 Cannabis Plants, 4 Firearms, MDMA and $25590.00 in Australian Currency.

The potential street value for the cannabis is estimated to be $100,000.

A 57-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Lismore Police Station where he was charged with supplying a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug, cultivating a prohibited plant, two counts of possessing a prohibited drug, knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime, possessing unregistered firearms and not keeping a prohibited firearm Safe.

The man was refused bail to attend Lismore Local Court later today.
