Commodore clocked at 133km/h as it ran Rocky red light

UPDATE 8PM: Police are still searching for the driver of a vehicle which evaded them through Gladstone and Rockhampton.

It was believed they were heading towards Mackay, after driving north from Rocky this afternoon.

 

UPDATE 5.10PM: THE car was recorded traveling at 133km/h in a 60km/h zone along Gladstone Rd, Rockhampton.

The car, reportedly a silver Holden Commodore, ran several red lights.

It is believed the car is close to running out of fuel.

Authorities have called off the chase until the vehicle has moved through Rockhampton.

The vehicle is heading North.

 

BREAKING 4.40PM: A DRAMATIC evade police incident is underway near Port Alma. 

Initial reports suggest three males travelling in a vehicle with stolen number plates evaded Gladstone police and are heading towards Rockhampton. 

Further reports suggest the vehicle was recorded travelling at speeds in excess of 160km/hr on the Bruce Hwy near Marmor. 

The vehicle reportedly tried to ram a police vehicle, has left the Hwy at the Port Alma turnoff and is travelling on a dirt road.
