Drake adopts a journo to help save the Lunatic Hotel

DRAKE'S iconic Lunatic Hotel is under threat of closing and the community has adopted a Northern Star journalist to help save the popular watering hole and community hub.

Rodney Stevens will be visiting Drake today to take photos and video of locals expressing their concern about the hotel closing.

Yesterday Drake woman Shay Jansen created a Facebook Page called Save Lunatic Hotel - Drake, which has attracted 446 members.

Many visitors to the hotel and locals have shared their tales about times at the pub.
