Heavy holiday traffic predicted at Ewingsdale and Woodburn

UPDATE 10:50am: MOTORISTS are advised to allow plenty of additional travel time on major roads heading out of Sydney and in regional New South Wales over the June long weekend.

Heavy holiday traffic is expected in a number of areas across the state from this evening until Monday June 8.

Roads in southern parts of the state are expected to be busier than usual as people head to the snowfields for the first weekend of the ski season.

The busiest locations north of Sydney are expected to be:

The M1 Pacific Motorway and Pacific Highway through: Ewingsdale, Woodburn, Coffs Harbour, Macksville and Hexham.

Roads are typically the busiest between 10am and 5pm.

Motorists are advised to plan their trip, allow additional travel time and to take regular breaks.
