North Coast country rock outfit The Re-Mains are in the running for album of the year at tonight's Dolphin Awards at The Star Court Theatre in Lismore

Dolphin Awards set to rock

THE 22nd annual Dolphin Awards hits the Star Court Theatre, Lismore, tonight, in a coveted event from the North Coast Entertainment Industry Association, to honour locals in the music industry.

Just some of the categories included in the awards are Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Male and Female Vocal, Production & Engineering, New Emerging Talent, Adult Contemporary & Acoustic Singer/Songwriter, and Music Video.

Some of the artists in the running for awards tonight include The Mid North, The Re-Mains, Brett Hamlyn, Scarlett Affection, Dave Scott, Parissa Bouas and Wild Jester.

The ceremony, set to hold performances from local artists and unveil the winners of these respected awards, will be the event of the year for many local muso's in attendance, especially if they walk away with a Dolphin themselves.
