Doctor Kinny elected

RESPECTED Lismore doctor Simon Kinny has been elected to the NSW Nationals Central Executive Committee while party veteran and South Grafton farmer Jeremy Challacombe has retired.

Mr Challacombe had held the role as the party’s senior vice-chairman and his retirement means the Northern Rivers no longer has a presence in the committee’s leadership.

Mr Challacombe has been replaced  as senior vice-president by Emma Watts from Queanbeyan, while Christine Ferguson from Gundagai was returned for her fifth term as the NSW party’s chair.

Bede Burke from Tamworth has promoted to the committee’s second vice-charman, while Dubbo’s Jeremy Scott is now chair of the Young Nationals.
