THE Brunswick Heads Visitor Centre has partnered with The Falls Music & Arts Festival so that locals and visitors can enjoy the delights of Brunswick Heads during the busy New Year period.

"This is a positive initiative managed by the visitors centre that looks after our patrons as well as the beautiful town of Brunswick Heads," said Falls director Brandon Saul.

New initiatives include volunteers providing information about Brunswick Heads to Falls patrons visiting the town, barbecue breakfasts at the Surf Lifesaving Club, extra bins around town with a litter patrol, extra cleaners to service the public toilets and additional parking areas managed as fundraising activities by local service groups.

Volunteers accepted

So the call is out for volunteers who will do a daily three-hour shift some time between 8am and 4pm and will receive a free four-day festival pass.

Volunteers can be anyone living in or near Brunswick Heads, over 18, a willing worker and a good communicator who can provide character references. They will need a mobile phone and to live on a travel route that is not affected by holiday traffic jams. People with current first aid certificates will be given preference.
