Dirtgirlworld nominated for an Emmy Award

THE Northern Rivers' favourite kids show, dirtgirlworld, is up for an Emmy Award.

The series, created and produced by Cate McQuillen and her partner Hewey Eustace at their place near(ish) Whiporie, is the only Australian production to make the final list of nominees for the International Digital Emmy Awards.

The winners of the awards are scheduleed to be announced at a ceremony at Cannes in April, which gives the floodwaters surrounding the couple's home a bit over a month to recede enough for them to get out and catch a flight to the south of France.

Dirtgirlworld plays in Australia on ABC2 each day at 9am as well as another 127 countries across the world. It has previously won an AFI and an ADG award.
