Byron take down Mullum in tense water polo match

BYRON BAY used their impressive depth on the bench to prevail 9-6 when they played the battle hardened men from Mullumbimby in Far North Coast water polo.

Greg Milham scored goals in each of the first three quarters for Mullum but it was not enough to stop the Bull Sharks, who jumped to a two-goal lead in the first quarter and the gap was never bridged.

Le-Ba welcomed back club powerhouse Paul Morgan, whose four goals were too much for the improving Bin Chooks in a thrilling 8-5 win.

The other games resulted in dominant wins to Alstonville Barry's, taking down the Crocs 10 -2, and Alstonville Mantis, who flexed their muscles with some skilful ball speed and passing to defeat Lennox Head 12-2.

Sarah Bransgrove surpassed all, notching eight goals as Kitty's demolished an under-strength Quinn's 17-2 in a women's game.
