Dandy Warhols rock a rainy Harvest Festival

THE Dandy Warhols were arguably the first major act of the day when they hit Brisbane's Riverstage at today's Harvest Festival

The wild guitar that opened the powerful Godless appeared to ape the powers above which unleashed buckets of rain.

But as lead singer Courtney Taylor-Taylor -- clad entirely in white-- worked through its major crowd pleaders, the Portland favourites seemed to earn forgiveness.

Mid-set, the rain halted, the crowd of coloured ponchos tore off their extra layer and the sun beamed again.

Keyboardist Zia McCabe told of the last time this happened, years ago at Glastonbury.

And on they went, knocking through Bohemian Like You, Get Off to eventually wind-up with an extended Boys Better.

Top notch.
