BYRON Bay's very own Dancing Man, Tommy Franklin, has boogied into the World's Greatest Shave, but he won't be getting rid of that flowing beard any time soon.

Instead, Tommy has coloured his beard and his hair and recorded a sensational video clip promoting both his own fundraising bid for the Leukaemia Foundation as well as for the World's Greatest Shave overall.

Byron regulars will recognise Tommy from his impromptu performances about the town, he can turn up and shimmy pretty much anywhere. You Tube has clips of him dancing on the counter at the Ozigo BP and shaking his tail at the Byron Bay Woolies.

Tommy's performances have earned him a growing fan base, including a guest appearance at last year's Tropfest short film festival and his own Facebook fan page. He has a strong presence on You Tube with a mix of short clips of his dancing along with interviews and biographies.

Now he's turned his dancing powers to helping fund the search for a cure to leukaemia and related illnesses and helping care for people suffering from them.
