IT'S a fully fledged Italian fiesta as all come out to dance, dine and raise funds for Our Kids on Saturday.
The Fiesta Di Carnivale Dinner Dance at the Italo Australian Club, is set to be a fun-filled night for a good cause, said Our Kids co-ordinator Rebekka Battista.
Each year Frank Vanz Lismore Tyre Company and a team of sponsors, including Southside Truck Centre, host Italian dinner dances with each focused on a local charity, and this year the money raised will go to Our Kids, who raise funds for equipment for the Lismore Base Hospital's children's ward and special care nursery.
Ms Battista said Our Kids were looking to buy a resuscitation unit for $25-30,000 and this fundraiser would be focused towards that.
Along with the dinner dance, Our Kids has its Samson Challenge the next day, making it a big fundraising weekend for them.
Frank Vanz said his company decided to get involved because they simply enjoy raising money and knowing what that money will go on to do.
They've previously helped raise money for Helirescue, the Lismore Base Hospital cancer care unit, Rotary and the Leukaemia Foundation, he said and they were looking forward to supporting Our Kids with this event.
For Mark Robinson from Southside Truck Centre, it's an issue close to home.
His daughter, Allie, 3, is being treated for leukemia, which has spurred him to support causes like the Leukaemia Foundation and Our Kids.
He said he was looking forward to helping Our Kids as he'd seen personally what they do for the children at Lismore Base Hospital.
