Dallas Frasca reflects on massive year

THE lady of rock, Dallas Frasca, is finishing an action-packed 2015 in the Byron Shire.

After touring France, the UK and Australia with her latest album, Love Army, the Australian rock artist cracked her skull while crowd surfing at the Big Pineapple Festival.

Then her song Success is the Best Revenge became a hit after being played in reality TV show Bondi Ink.

The singer said Love Army brought some incredible reactions from unexpected places.

"For me personally, I suppose a way to evaluate the album are the stories from people that have heard the record and the way they have connected with the music," she said.

"To see people singing the words with as much conviction as us playing on stage is overwhelming."

"The film clip for our song, You Are Beautiful, a song about positive body image, has had a quarter of a million plays on Youtube and resonated with people."

Frasca said 2016 would be even bigger than this year.

She said she intended to delve into aboriginal culture by spending more time with desert communities, and would also play music for the love of it.

At the Hotel Brunswick, Brunswick Heads, this Sunday from 4pm.
