Dairy spectacular at Bangalow

CATTLE will moo-ve into Bangalow Showground from tomorrow for the annual Dairy Spectacular as competitor's battle for their share of $37,000 in prizemoney.

But there's more to see than just cows at the Dairy Spectacular.

Local sponsors Richmond Dairies will join exhibitors from as far as Gympie, Nowra and the Darling Downs with all sorts of products, advice and handy gadgets for farmers.

NSW Farmers Association representatives will also be available for a chat as well as staff from Rural Buying Service and Eden Country Store.

For something completely different, check out the vintage cars and machinery on display and enjoy a lovely lunch or snack provided by the wonderful workers of the CWA.

It all starts this Friday morning with the Youth Program for school children, which includes demonstrations and tips on building a career in the dairy industry.

There is also a prize pool of $1135 for junior parading and judging.

Heifer and dry classes will be held on Friday afternoon while juvenile interbreed and milking classes will be judged on Saturday.

The NSW Illawarra Feature Show will be held in conjunction with the Dairy Spectacular and the always popular interbred competition of the major champions will wrap up the event.
