Cyclists set for Hell on Wheels

Hot on the heels of Cadel Evans’ amazing win in the Tour de France, North Coast cyclists have a chance to take part in their very own cycle tour, the Yellow Pages Hell on Wheels tour and help raise money for the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter.

The Hell on Wheels tour, from October 8 to 15, only takes 50 riders, so riders are urged to ‘get on their bikes quickly and register for this unique event. Who knows the tour may unearth the next Cadel Evans?

Westpac Helicopter General Manager Kris Beavis said Yellow Pages are once again on board as sponsors.

“As result of their generous sponsorship, all riders will wear the famous maillot jaune yellow leader’s jersey,” he said.

The tour may not pass through fields of Britanny or climb the heights of the Alpe-d’Huez but it will pass through picturesque North Coast countryside and riders will be in the company of a friendly bunch of cyclists out to enjoy themselves and raise money for a worthy cause.

“This event is in its 14th year, it is one of our longest and most successful fundraisers,” Mr Beavis said.
