Cyclist injured in Lismore crash

RICHMOND Local Area Command police are appealing for witnesses to a crash in Lismore yesterday which left an elderly cyclist injured.

The crash happened about 2.15pm when a 74-year-old man, riding a bicycle, and a white Hyundai van collided at the intersection of Molesworth and Orion streets.

An off-duty doctor treated the rider at the scene for serious injuries to his legs before he was taken to Lismore Base Hospital.

Police attached to the Crash Investigation Unit have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Lismore Police on 02 6626 0599 or via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
